Horse Sculptures & Pins My horse sculptures have grown out of long history of collecting (and creating, beginning with modeling clay ponies in grade school) miniature horses in a variety of media, from reproduction Tang horses to Navajo and Zuni stone fetish horses.
Braided Fabric Baskets I love baskets, for their practical use, history and as symbols and images in art. My braided fabric baskets began as a simple way to use up leftover materials, and quickly became a craft form that interested me deeply. As well as enjoying the way that each one develops its’ own character as I create it, I also relish working with the materials - choosing colors that work together, threads to sew them with, and decorative embellishments to accent the finished product.
Anemones A fun beading project! All anemones are mounted on genuine Maine mussel and clam shells.
Cards & Books My interests are eclectic and range over many topics. One day I may be creating a book with pages made of hand-made paper and the next I might be working with stone, or bark, or glass. My writings are primarily semi-autobiographical poetry. Many of my books are unique sculptural objects but I also create many limited edition books as well as cards.
Ornaments Just for fun!
